United States Army Corps of Engineers, Scheduler. Contracted by Meyer Engineers, New Orleans Nov 2014 – Present ● Developed and implemented standard cost, schedule and risk programs, processes and practices to ensure Design and Construction projects were performed in accordance with approved budgets and schedules. ● Developed, coordinated and maintained detailed Integrated Master Schedules for individual projects and for the large multi-discipline project portfolios within Primavera P6. Responsible for facilitating schedule development and maintenance with the all the project stakeholders (i.e. engineering, licensing, permitting, procurement, construction, etc.). ● Analyzed schedule tracking information and provided project teams with recommended corrective actions to project engineers. Prepared detailed schedule reports as required (i.e. critical path review, baseline vs. actual, look ahead, milestones and reflection analysis). ● Developed, coordinated and maintained status reporting and executive dashboards for the financial aspects and schedules for projects within Primavera P6, including performance indices such as CPI, SPI, and other Key Performance Indices (KPI’s). ● Created an Integrated, Resource Loaded, Cost Loaded, Physical Duration schedule built in Primavera P6. This schedule’s scope has to do with three different Pump Stations on the levees of New Orleans. The schedule is built from Overhead budgets, original scope estimates, current contractor updated construction schedule, and estimated modifications (Change Orders). The data in Primavera was then generated to create custom reports along with EVM (Earned Value Management) curves to accommodate FAR Requirements. ● Ran Forensic analysis on contractor schedule with regards to claims for litigation. Presented findings in deposition on many occasions. DCMA 14 Point Assessment along with TIA methods were used in presentation. ● Audited Contractor Resource Loaded, Cost Loaded, Physical Duration schedule for a SELA projects. The scope dealt with infrastructure upgrades dealing with canals and waterways in New Orleans. Project Controls Manager, IRWIN Industries Corporate, Denver Colorado Aug 2013 to Nov 2014 ● Built and maintained Primavera Integrated Master Schedules for multiple projects for prime contractor and sub-contractors. Schedules were Resource and Cost Loaded. Reports were Earned Value, Three Week Look ahead, Labor Resources, Cost Reports and other custom Reports created by me. All schedules were for the Power Plant Division. Preliminary schedules were built to assist in the “Bid Process”. ● Responsible for building schedules to support projects, spotlight issues, and provide detailed analysis of available data. Developed estimates, and managed budgets. Developed EVM reporting mechanisms to measure performance, efficiency and to forecast project outcomes. ● Schedules were key factor in determining outcomes with regards to litigations and claims approvals. Project Controls Manager, IRWIN Industries, Anclote Power Station, Holiday Florida Jan-2013 to Aug-2013 ● Planned and Created Primavera P6 Integrated Master Schedule for prime-contractor and sub-contractors at Anclote Power Station Unit 1. Project consisted of Oil to Natural Gas Conversion with a Superheat Modification. Schedule was resourced and cost loaded and updated daily. Walk downs and various meetings were what contributed to the schedule updates. Various reports were created for the customers status updates. Client Prism DocAudit program used to update histories. ● Review the time/schedule portions of commissioning variation and prepare details and analysis for resolution and/or inclusion in any response; ● Maintaining Earned Value Management (EVM) system and improving project schedule performance and support to commissioning manager to manage scope of work. ● Schedule was used to accomplish a clear and understandable outcome to claims presented on this project. ICP Analytics Project Planner. Tek Systems June-2012 to Dec-2012 ● Planned 6 projects for Data Movement for new ICP program. Built project schedules from inception to resource loading along with cost loading in Primavera P6 for a Road Map Integrated Master Schedule. Produced various reports like Burn Rates, tracked EVM rates, Resource Acclamations and Three Day Look Aheads. Scheduler/Planner, Laramie River Station, Wheatland Wyoming, Feb-2012 to June-2012 ● Updated and altered Primavera P6 Integrated Master Schedule for prime-contractor and sub-contractor for this spring outage. Work consisted of 47 Burner Replacements, All Superheat replacement and installation of an Over fire Air System, Much TM work was added to the schedule and maintained Project completed on time and on budget. Custom reports generated were Resource, Cost, and Earned Value. ● Calculating CPI and SPI and Preparing Earned Value report for each Engineering, procurement and construction phases. ● Implementing project control plan and Capturing Earned Value methodology ● Defining the work flow guideline for scheduling and project controls between all parties. Tracked EVM rates to closing. Project Controls Manager, Eskom Power, South Africa. Jan-2011 to Dec-2011 ● Wrote a Primavera P6. 37 day outage on a LP Rotor Change Out. Built this schedule from the WBS to activities. Resource loaded this schedule with cost analysis. Showed Critical Path while the outage went through its cycles. Attended outage meetings with a three day look ahead for each contractor. This project was civil, mechanical, and commissioning. Reported EVM rates to corporate. ● Identifying schedule and cost risks, and the critical and near critical paths and preparing contingency management plans to maintain the project on time ● Developed and maintained valid and accurate bid and project Integrated Master Schedules in Primavera P6. ● A conversion from Microsoft Projects to Primavera 6 in regards to six fossil fuel power plants was a primary task to create an EPS for one resource data base to be utilized while maintaining data in P6 Integrated Master Schedule. Planner/Scheduler, Gateway, Suncoke, Granite City, Illinois June-2010 to Dec-2010 ● Responsibilities dealt with collecting bids for plans written by myself and supplied to the contractor. Mobilized contractor’s onsite and coordinated logistics, materials, and submitted plant regulations for site safety training and security requirements. This Outage consisted of five economizer replacements on three HRSG units. Replacement of baffle plates, piping, valves, and HRSG cleaning. All plans were put in Maximo and scheduled Integrated Master Schedules for prime-contractors and sub-contractors in Primavera P6. EVM rates reported to all stakeholders. This project was a construction maintenance outage. Field Coordinator, Will County Power Station, Midwest Generation, Romeoville, Illinois Jan-2010 to May-2010 ● Wrote Work Orders in SAP and applied the Owners guidelines for the Contract. Applied Work Orders to the outage Integrated Master Schedule in Primavera P6. Oversaw and inspected craft work for Air Heater Basket Replacement, Tube Wall Installation, Cooler Cleaning, Precipitator Repairs, Header Repair, Scaffolding with much T&M work. Coordinated the contractor’s onsite to maintain an even flow of production by using EVM rates. During and at the end of the outage, initiated the Back Charge Process due to the contractors use of Plant Resources not identified in the contract. This outage was on time and on budget with no Safety Incidents. This project was a construction maintenance outage. Field Coordinator, Will County Power Station, Midwest Generation, Romeoville, Illinois Sept-2009 to Dec-2009 ● Coordinated the replacement of Air Heater baskets and the replacement of tubes around IR ports in the SH and RH side of Unit #3 boiler. Installation of UREA ports. Duties included updating the Integrated Master Schedule in Primavera P6 with EVM rates reported. Wrote scope work orders in SAP, monitoring Budget and delivering Back Charges to contractors for the planned outage. Project on time and on budget. Zero Safety Incidents This project was a construction maintenance outage. Field Coordinator, Fisk Power Station, Midwest Generation, Chicago, Illinois July-2009 to Sept-2009 ● Supervised Siemens for work on Turbine repairs dealing with Mid Coupler. Completed Integrated Master Schedule in MS Project utilizing the baseline. Reported EVM rates. This project was a construction maintenance outage. Field Coordinator, Will County Power Station, Midwest Generation, Romeoville, Illinois Feb-2009 to July-2009 ● Coordinated Outage Activities set by the Contract Schedule with contractors. Duties included updating the schedule (Primavera P6), reporting EVM rates monitoring Budget and delivering Back Charges to contractors for the planned outage. Supervised and inspected replacement of Tube Walls, Soot Blowers, and Coal Pipe. Supervised and inspected repairs of leaks on a Steam Drum. This outage was on time and on budget. Safety oversight. This project was a construction maintenance outage. ADMIN / QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR, Scheduler. Comanche #3, APCOM Power, Pueblo, Colorado Sept-2007 to Oct-2008 ● Completed instrumentation and electrical scheduling on 750 Supercritical Boiler using Primavera P5. Supervised all new hires, providing orientations and ensuring urinalyses / random testing were conducted. Advanced to Quality Control Inspector while maintaining Integrated Master Schedules along with reporting EVM rates. Instrumental in level negotiations of Back Charges incurred by APCOM from XCEL Energy. This was a New Build Construction Project. SUPERINTENDENT / MTG Power Station, Moorehead, Wheatland, Wyoming May-2007 to Aug-2007 ● Supervised rebuild of “Ash Hopper” and installation of Tube Walls and Dutchmen inside boiler. Maintained Integrated Master Schedule using Primavera P5. Followed Contract Guidelines to deliver the high expectations required by the owner. This project was a maintenance outage. SUPERINTENDENT, Edwards Power Station, Enerfab, Peoria, Illinois Feb-2007 to May 2007 ● Guided installation of damper braces on all 4 corners of boiler and removal of existing pipe. Supervised installation of Dutchman and supervised installation of new hopper walls. Superseded owner’s expectations on this TM project. This was a maintenance project. SUPERINTENDENT, Clinton Nuclear Plant, Stone & Webster, Clinton, Illinois Nov-2006 to Jan-2007 Coordinated tear out and installation of GC Coolers and established crews to complete work according to schedule. Supervised daily pre-jobs and completed work info cards. Negotiated all Back Charges by the client. Project was complete on time and on budget. This project was a maintenance outage. SUPERINTENDENT/Scheduler, Palisades Nuclear Plant, Day & Zimmermann NPS, Covert, Michigan Jan-2006 to Nov-2006 ● Coordinated boilermaker work for upcoming outage for condenser repair. Applied work to required schedule, located and procured material and tools, and established manpower. Main outage duties included boot-seal replacement in main condenser. Project was completed on time and on budget. This project was a maintenance outage. ● Maintained a P3 Integrated Master Schedule mid outage for schedule update meeting twice a day. CONSTRUCTION REPRESENTATIVE, Phyzer Distributing, Kalamazoo, Michigan Sept-2005 to Dec-2005 ● Supervised work on emission duct from boiler to newly constructed bag house. Procured material in sequence to outage schedule (Primavera P5). Collaborated with other contractors to complete tasks ahead of schedule. This project was New Construction. GENERAL FOREMAN, Palisades Nuclear Plant, Atlantic / URI, Covert, Michigan June-2005 to Sept-2005 ● Prepared plans for outage work (Primavera P3). Applied activities to P5 schedule and updated for daily outage meeting. Supervised work on containment activities for outage and repair work on condenser. This project was a maintenance outage. SUPERINTENDENT, J.H. Campbell Plant, SCR Project, Babcock & Wilcox, West Olive, Michigan Jan-2004 to May-2005 ● Initiated all prep work for site erection and assisted in setting up 56 modules ranging from 200 tons and above in heavy rigging gang. Tracked the welding out of 56 modules. Schedule was in Primavera P3 that I updated daily. This project was New Construction
