Key Responsibilities: • Formulating and implementing planning procedures and supportive budgeting policies to manage all aspects of cost control, in alignment with organizational policies and goals. • Conducting value engineering exercise. Applying high-end project management concepts including critical path, material and human resource management, earned value management, etc to ensure adherence to deadlines. • Developing Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), determining major milestones for control and integrity of work defined by the contract. • Analyzing project inception plan and creating a schematic layout in view of key quantifiable parameters encompassing estimation of takeoff costs, scopes of work, sub-contracting requirements, project profitability and scheduling. • Directing and monitoring the project in entirety involving conceptualization, budgeting, contractual negotiations/renegotiations, appointing/liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors. • Communicating project status and costs to other members of the senior management, conducting site visits to verify work flow, progress of work and mitigate any resultant issues. • Designing stringent project schedule, prioritizing activities, forecasting, evaluating, monitoring and reporting work progress to ensure the delivery of project within the stipulated budget and timeframe. |
• Reviewing and proof-reading contract terms, compliance, key milestone dates, and binding commitments to avoid unnecessary negative financial impact or litigations. • Executing Microsoft Project in minor projects, Primavera 3 in medium projects and Primavera 6.0 for new projects as a central enterprise interface via internet/intranet. • Coordinating and interacting contractors and considering the access milestones for different stages including planning/re-planning stages, execution stage, controlling stage. • Drafting business plan and setting up the department key performance indicators and measures as well as issuing weekly, monthly and semi-annual progress reports to the management.
