Key Responsibilities :
• Formulated tender documents and reviewed the same for any errors and discrepancies as well as ensured any non-standard forms of contract for risks allocation.
• Handled the whole gamut of contract management functions right from selecting a contractor, verified preliminary acceptance, technical completion and final acceptance as per the contract upto coordination process and project close-out.
• Estimated costs, evaluated quotation of work orders/contracts to formulate proposals, submitted tenders considering cash flow/business performance reports and negotiated to strike best price/cost effective deal in favor of the organization.
• Scrutinized and evaluated bid proposed by the contractors with regards to equipments, schedule and project organizational chart and subcontracting plan after verifying subcontracting qualification documents.
• Identified significant cost drivers, provided risk and benefit alternatives, prepared estimates/risk assessments to provide guidelines and reports for responding to client as well as project management requirements.
• Executed an Internet/Intranet based contract management system and recommended solutions to address shortcomings.
• Directed the standard formats for variations and applications for interim valuations with owner as well as formulated and participated in agreeing the subcontractor’s final accounts and variations.
• Participated in site meetings with owner/consultant and sub-contractors/vendors and reviewed the implementation of policies and identified shortfalls and delays, as well as ways to deal with them.
• Established FIDIC, JCT, government and NEC standard forms of contract as well as various ad_hoc contracts customized to specific project case.
• Negotiated long term agreements, maintained competitive pricing, leading to yearly cost reduction activities, monitored supplier quality and delivery performance.
