Tom Ross
Tom Ross is a certified cost professional (CCP), planning and scheduling professional (PSP) and LEED AP with more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry. Tom has worked on a wide variety of projects and held numerous project roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as the project controls manager with Hill International, responsible for developing and managing project estimates, schedule, cost and document control for the $1.6 billion-dollar Midfield Satellite Concourse Program at LAX. Tom’s' experience includes developing program policies and procedures; establishing and maintaining master budgets and schedule; managing project schedules, estimates, and costs, software implementation, and user training.
Tom has worked on both infrastructure and building projects during the planning, design, and construction phases. His experience includes negotiating multi-million-dollar contract change orders; managing the delivery of Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certifications; implementing Oracle Primavera Systems Contract Management, which includes developing, and maintaining Contract Management for use by clients' construction management teams for document and cost control; and providing a centrally managed data warehouse for reporting overall program progress. In addition, Tom’s experience includes managing and serving as a lead trainer for Contract Manager at Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and directing and writing detailed Contract Management Procedures Manuals for LAUSD, Long Beach Community College District, Hudson River Environmental Remediation Project, the Public Building Commission of Chicago, and the California High Speed Rail Program.
