Claudio Olivieri
Claudio has 10 years’ experience in the mining, oil & gas, petrochemical and renewable energy industries in the field of project engineering for multidisciplinary capital and operational work projects. He is competent across all project engineering disciplines including cost estimation and cost control, planning/scheduling, progress and performance control, as well as contract administration and procurement. This diversity of experience gives him a comprehensive appreciation of client and project objectives.
Over the last 5 years residing in Australia, Claudio has gained strong experience in complex mining and minerals processing projects working for companies such as Rio Tinto, Newcrest and Harmony. With his process engineering background, he is well placed to analyse and develop a deep understanding of the key drivers for a minerals project schedule and recommend strategies for improved outcomes.
He understands the value of well-structured budgets from which to control against. Coupled with his experience in contract bid preparation and contract administration, he is very capable in analysis of contractual claims and preparation of counter claim documentation.
Having been deployed to site, responsible for site planning and cost control functions, he evaluated labour productivities, assisted the supervision to allocate quantities and man-hours to the appropriate WBS, high-level verification of reported progress by comparing the IFC documentation against installed scope in the field, rescheduled the activities according to actual productivities achieved at site, incorporated quantities’ revisions from the engineering documentation and planned modifications decided by the site management.
Claudio’s communication skills are excellent with internal and external stakeholders. He is proficient in QUEST, CMS, MS Project, Primavera P6 as well as a broad selection of ERP, document control and engineering software.
