Binay Kumar Samanata, s/o late Amiya Madhab Samanta, did his I.Sc 1^st Division from St. Xaviers, Kolkata and B.Tech (Hons), 1^st Class from IIT, Kharagpur. Apart from working in nationalized coal industry, and competing in Second and First Class Managers Certificate from DGMS, Shri Samanta retired as General Manager in 2001. He has considerable part-time research experience for M.Sc, M.Tech and PhD at ISM, Dhanbad, and in BESU/IIEST and he is completing his D.Sc now at IIT(ISM). He knows and can translate from most European languages and used in his research work.  He has coded programs in most HLL like VB, FORTRAN, COBOL, PASCAL, PROLOG, C++, and JAVA. He is professionally active as Life MMGI, FIE, MCSI, MIMMA, MNIPM. Awards of 'Bharat Gaurav', ‘Best Citizens of India’, ‘Great Achiever of India’,‘Bharat Jyoti’, ‘Millennium Medal Achiever’ conferred by various organizations, for his contribution in world record making mine rescue by capsule and 86 technical papers in national and international seminars. He has worked as Consultant to many organizations and continuing like AEWT, BEW. He was Chairman, Institution of Engineers, Dhanbad LC and also President of Rotary Club of Dhanbad North. He has been honoured with ‘Alumni Achiever Award’ by Mining Engineering Department, IIT Kharagpur, also accredited as ‘EMS Consultant’ in 2015 of Quality Council of India/ National Board of Quality Promotion.
