Began using P3e in 2004 due to re-organisation within Network Rail became Works Planner at Wolverhampton Depot. Once trained in the use of P3e went on to be involved in the development of the Annual Plan system, plan, do and review meetings, strategic planning for annual plan, quarterly plan down to what work would be planned, carried out and re-planned for following week. Planning work with budgets and time constraints such as quarter blocks.

Became Project Planner for Parsons Brinckerhoff on the West Midlands Gas Alliance Pipe Replacement project this invovled setting up a P6 system for the customer to use. The programme scheduled the progress of pipe re-laying by area and by how much pipe had been replaced. Each week the responsible engineer would complete his workbook forward to me and then I would upload the information into P6. The details would be checked and the programme re-scheduled to show progress. Various reports were created to produce a suite of reports to enable managers to report progress and costs to senior management. I also prepared various worksheets for the Cost Engineer as required.

Assistant Project Planner for Thales - mainly worked on Framework projects for Network Rail. The largest project was to install customer information boards and help points on stations throughout the West Midlands.

Project Planning Engineer, Babcock Defence Technology - working on various programmes involving marine equipment, refurbishment and testing. Also involved in project to develop new Main Circulating Water Pump. Also involved in creating programmes for various bids for items for the Type 26 Frigate programmes predominantly lifts but some davits. Working on programmes for Decoy Dispenser Units, Heavily Mechanised Weapon Handling Systems, Submarine Penetrators and Air Turbine Pumps.

Project Controls Manager, WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff working on the East West Rail Phase 2 - Feasibility and Agreement in Principle phases. Responsible for Change Management, Earned Value analysis, timesheet error review, cost coding, budgeting.
