JON SANCHEZ
I joined Lend Lease in June 2014 and since then I have worked as an assistant planning manager based in several projects across UK: project SLAM (Single Living Accommodation Modernisation. £1bn over 10y); Beacon Barracks redevelopment (£100m); and most recently North Wales Super-prison project (£157m).
My main duties as an Assistant Planning Manager involve:
- Provide efficient planning support to projects
- Assist and sometimes lead the generation of programmes (and re-Baslining when required) involving the project team to give understanding, buy in and commitment
- Work with supply chain developing programme method, sequence and logistics
- Application of technical & construction knowledge to produce integrated programmes
- Establishment of accurate and up to date programme metrics to define the status of projects across the portfolio
- Programme and progress reporting in line with business requirements
- Promote Safety during the progress of works

Prior to this I was assistant construction manager and cost manager for an architectural and engineering firm based in Spain. During my experience in Spain I supervised the construction works of a multi-purpose sports centre (£36m), a music school (£18m), and an emergency hospital (£15m). I also spent three months volunteering for a local non profit organisation, assisting with local housing refurbishment and on-site training (NVQ qualifications and CSCS).
I am qualified in Building Engineering (Bsc Hons 2:1) and I hold an MSc in Construction Management (distinction) from Salford University. I am candidate for a postgraduate diploma in applied finance (corporate finance) from Kaplan Unviersity. I am also incorporate member of CIOB.
