Summary
I am a commercially aware, experienced and multi-disciplined Chartered Engineer and Project Manager who is enthusiastic about delivering complex and first of a kind projects to meet the defined cost, schedule and quality targets. I am particularly skilled in requirements management for safety critical projects and have successfully managed a wide range of projects, through the whole lifecycle, in engineering activities such as systems engineering, aerospace, defence, construction infrastructure and renewables (wind and tidal). I have 14 years experience in a professional engineering environment including 11 years with increasing project management and project controls responsibility.
Key Achievements
- A key member of the project management team responsible for delivery of the pathfinder MeyGen Phase 1A tidal energy project between 2015-2017. Responsible for scheduling and project controls support while seconded into the client's project team.
- Owner's Engineer project manager and responsible for the project controls on the delivery of Mongolia’s first wind farm as part of a US$110M project in July 2013.
- Led the design engineering team to achievement of the detailed design review milestone for UKube-1, which became Scotland’s first satellite on 8th July 2014. Responsible for schedule management and action and issue tracking
- Selected for secondment to satellite office in Australia to provide design engineering support to the Royal Australian Air Force on the C-130 (Hercules aircraft) deeper maintenance programme. Achieved formal design review and approval signatory from RAAF during the secondment.
- Responsible for the successful delivery of requirements management software, processes and procedures to an engineering design office of 200+ project stakeholders during 2010.
