Quinton is a programme/project risk analyst and planning specialist with more than 20 years’ experience in risk and general management.  He is a lawyer by training and holds advanced level professional certifications in project- and project risk management as well as a Masters degree in Information and Knowledge Management.  Currently undertaking a literature review for a PhD thesis on Capital Programme Risk Management at Univ of Stellenbosch.

He specialises in the application of quantitative modelling and analysis techniques to determine the effect of uncertainty on project schedules and estimates.  To manage project opportunities, he applies the internationally recognized Value Methodology and is a member of the Society of American Value Engineers.

At an enterprise and portfolio level, he has been responsible for the development of the ISO 31000-based enterprise risk management, business continuity and risk financing framework for TWP and acted as Chief Risk Officer in addition to his project-related risk analysis duties.  In this context, he developed the enterprise and project risk appetite framework and incorporated agreed risk criteria into a risk scoring matrix for use in the assessment of enterprise and project risk as part of a Value-Based ERM framework to quantify the effect of uncertainty at an enterprise/strategic level.
