Christian is highly skilled and qualified civil engineer from a strong technical and project management background from within the UK and is currently working in Jeddah as a Senior claims planning manager. He is skilled in all areas of planning from tender stage, operational up to and including change and claims management. As Christian originates from the contracting side of the business he clearly understands the importance of being a planning manager who knows all about the design build and operational elements of planning as opposed to just being fluent in the use of planning and PM related software. As a previous senior operational manager in the UK contracting market Christian is equally at home with clients and contractors alike. Christian has also freelanced for most specialist engineering contractors in the UK. Christian entered the industry as an engineering graduate who progressed through the ranks into senior project management. During the last 7 years, he has focused on his strongest skill set of project planning, ranging from pre-construction planning and project feasibility to live project controls and planning. Christian has a broad and wide ranging experience with claims in delay, prolongation and disruption and has undertaken various roles in carrying out forensic analysis of as-built performance identifying and challenging productivity and issues efficiency of concurrent and dominant delay. He is well versed in change management and the effective administration of project variations and has a strong understanding of its commercial and contractual implications on live projects and claim scenarios. Christian is currently investigating the active use of risk based approaches such as the use of ‘Monte Carlo’ simulations and similar mathematical modeling techniques to inform better planning approaches.
