Phil Shatz
I'm more of a software guy than a planning and scheduling specialist. My career in computing goes back to the mid 1980s to roughly the time when the IBM PC AT was introduced. For the first decade I focused on graphics programming having had some of the largest software companies of the time as clients. Later I spent six years doing specialist licensing work for the Microsoft developer tools agency Summit Software. Most recently I've developed a specialisation in applying monte carlo techniques to activity networks for the purpose of finding risk bottlenecks and evaluating mitigation strategies. This involves the use of Primavera Risk Analysis, the product formerly known as Pertmaster. My present focus is on the application of advanced project management systems such as P6, Synchro, Hard Dollar and LoadSpring to companies in the construction and energy sectors.
