Sam Onumah is currently a contractor (Lead Planner/Scheduler) to Urenco USA based in Eunice, New Mexico, where he leads a group of planners/schedulers in developing and managing schedules to support a $3billion nuclear enrichment facility construction project.

He has 12 years of progressive experience in engineering, construction management and project controls with expertise in planning, schedule analysis, cost estimating, risk management and earned value methodologies.

 

 

His previous industry experience includes working as:

  • Contractor (Senior Planner/Scheduler) to Bechtel Corporation, Houston, TX, where he implemented project execution plans to develop schedules to support a $9billion crude refinery expansion project in Port Arthur, TX.
  • Assistant Project Manager with Kleinfelder Inc, Hanover, MD, where he also worked as a design engineer. He worked on environmental restoration projects which included design, procurement, drilling, and installations of remediation systems and reporting of project progress to management and state organizations.
  • Project Engineer with Central Florida Testing Laboratories, Clearwater, FL, where he worked on geotechnical projects. His responsibilities included developing project scopes, budgets, and proposals.

He has a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Project Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering and is currently pursuing an MBA in Project Management.
