Vamsi Gollapinni
I am a qualified Engineer, with 9+ years’ experience in the field of Project Controls and Project Planning. I am currently working on the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project as a Lead Planning Engineer as well as I am second in charge - Project Control Lead, responsible for Planning, Cost Control and Project Control requirements for 5 Field Compressor Stations (FCS’s) and 1 Central Processing Plant (CPP) + all associated Electrical Equipment Rooms and Discharge Pipelines. I have developed Project Control and Planning requirements, mentored Junior Planner and Cost Engineers as well as implemented Earned Value Project Management systems.
I continuously strive to excel in the field of Project Management, by adopting a balance of on-field work experience combined with Continuing Professional Development. In order to achieve this balance I have progressed from a Trainee Engineer working on a Power Plant in India, worked for main contractors executing mixed-use buildings/high rise towers/hospital/schools/road projects in the capacity of a Project Planning Engineer in Dubai; assisted Project Managers and Commercial managers to deliver complex multi-disciplined mixed use projects from Design to handover in the capacity of Senior Project Controls Engineer with a Project Management organization in Doha, Qatar; and working on the World’s first Coal Seam Gas to Liquefied Natural Gas Project as a Lead Planning Engineer delivering the Planning and Reporting suites in Australia.
I am familiar with administering and monitoring control processes associated with both consultant and contractor teams. I have sound working knowledge dealing with both project management and contracting systems and experience compiling Consultancy design based variations and assessing Contractor based claims.
