SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

 

Four (4) year apprenticeship served as a Mechanical Engineer (awarded East of England Apprentice of the Year 1996).  Higher education followed by nine (9) years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry predominantly within Project Controls, experience within project specification, design, execution, start up and close-out of major Greenfield and Brownfield modifications projects.

Senior Planning Engineer YME Offshore Re-Development Project, Mopustor (Mobile Offshore Production Unit with Storage) facilities comprise of 13,500 tonne topside unit (nominal production 60,000 BOPD) supported on 3 jacking legs, inboard accommodation for 77 production/ maintenance operatives all construction compliant to Norwegian (DNV) specifications. Resident at the Rosenberg Construction yard responsible for development and monitoring of Construction Phase through to Offshore HUC. 

 

 

2010– 2011     AMEC Oil & Gas (UK)

 

Senior Planning Engineer Leman Uptime Power Generation Project, largest Brownfield Modification scope of work in the history of the Southern North Sea – Client SHELL. Change out of antiquated/damaged Ruston Generators for three new Pon Power (Caterpillar) Gas Turbine Generators weighing 16.5 tonnes in total. Upgrade of Control and Safety System within the live platform Local Equipment Room.  Responsible for the creation, management, manipulation of Level 4 Construction/Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning Plan consisting of 2500 activities. Responsible for allocating Direct Labour allowances and recommending manning levels required to fully optimise an Accommodation Barge for a six month offshore campaign. Development and maintenance of Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Production of Weekly/Monthly Reporting Suite detailing Productive Time Analysis together with Non-Productive and Indirect Code booking allocations.

 

 

2008– 2009     SBM Offshore (Monaco)

 

Lead Plannerfor 7,000 tonne Rotating Turret for FPSO Skarv, Constructed in Keppel – Singapore, FPSO to be Commissioned for duty in Norwegian Waters. Managing Levels 2, 3 & 4 of Engineering, Procurement & Construction Scheduling. Daily Interaction with Client Representatives (BP) to discuss forecast dates, productivity, recovery schedules, reporting and risk analysis of schedules.

 

2007– 2008     AMEC Oil & Gas (UK)

 

Senior Planning Engineer, Small Project & Minor Modification Project Planning Engineer. Senior Planning Engineer in a Cluster Team of 5. Primavera version 6 – Expert User, SAP usage for accruing maintenance activities. Daily & Weekly Meetings with Client (Shell) to discuss Labour Requirements, Productivity, Risk, Safety. Meeting total scheduling requirements for entire lifespan of Projects and Modification scope of works.

Planning Engineer, Grove Gas Platform Rejuvenation Project – replacement of two nine inch risers, Tutu and Production Manifold, together with control system.Project scheduled in conjunction with Galaxy 2 Drilling Rig 60 day drilling campaign. Utilising all previous Planning experience on all aspects of project development and growth.Project Planning from Tender, Design, Procurement onto Construction and Commissioning.

Project Planning Engineer. Britannia Satellites Project, Bridge linked jacket with 7,500 tonne topside production facility to the Britannia Platform. Brownfield modification consisting of additional Coalescer Cantilever Platform and MEG Regeneration Unit. Client (ConocoPhillips) requiring extensive Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reporting. Extensive data manipulation and migration exercises executed frequently ensuring sound principles of Project Control. Capturing all elements of growth within the scope of work. Identifying Impacts on Delivery Dates. Responsible for Database Design (SQL) together with data migration techniques between Planning Software, Time-writing Software and Progress Recording Database. Interfacing with Document Control, Construction and Commissioning. Extensive Job Card Management System (JMS) knowledge – allocation of Work Breakdown Structure of Job Carded Activities.
