7 Billion US$ KPIZ – Industrial Zone & Port Development. This program consists of 15+ LS construction packages and various design / technical services contracts. Bechtel provided PMC function.

2 Billion $ AA/VAM / CO petro-chemical complex. Engineering & Procurement & Construction management functions were provided by Fluor Corp as Reimbursible and construction services provided by Local KSA company as LS contract. Lurgi of Germany, at LSTK terms, built one of the units.

Responsibilities;

Leading the following principal project control activities that include:

• Establish familiarity with all provisions of the contract and other commercial documents.
• Participate in development of the project execution plan
• Prepare project procedures related to estimating, risk analysis , cost control and forecasting, planning and change management
• Establish familiarity with the in-place software and tools.
• Use project WBS, budget and code of accounts
• Produce project cost reports
• Facilitate / Lead the effort of developing project CPM logic and program level schedule integration and also develop resource loading plans
• Facilitate / Lead establishing the critical quantities and establish process for critical quantities tracking.
• In conjunction with project accounting establish process for invoice approval and processing and lead the project part the process flow.
• Participate, actively, in contract formation process at various stages from ITT development, technical evaluation and   commercial analysis / recommendation.

Organizing and Leadership:

• Assist in establishing project control organization appropriate to the project size and complexity
• Provide leadership, supervision and day to day management for the project control team

Major Responsibilities as Project Controls Lead at Central PMO office

• Remain up-to-date with Petro-Canada’s current practices, tools and standards by liaising with the Project Management Office.
• Developing and maintaining project controls plans and procedures for the assigned projects.
• Coordination and liaison with the other functional groups on a project to generate the project estimate/s.
• Coordination and liaison with the other functional groups on a project to steward the preparation and implementation of project schedules and budgets.
•  Preparation and coordination of risk analysis for projects and performance of contingency analysis and rundown.
• Preparation of cost, performance, productivity and other Project Controls studies, and communication of the results to project and portfolio management, as appropriate.
• Supervising the updating and maintenance of the Project Controls baselines, analysing any variances, recommending corrective actions where applicable to Project Management, and provision of timely and accurate feedback to the other functional groups.
