I have worked in a variety of industries including food processing, power generation, oil & gas, heavy civil and rail transportation systems. I have adapted my skills to the different environments and learned techniques from each. I approach project management with a tool kit of techniques and skills. The ability to transfer my project management and control experience between industries has allowed me to be successful.

I undertook an MSc in Construction Management to upgrade my skill level and gain accreditation for the techniques I currently employ in my project management roles. I have successfully completed six of the eight modules, which includes all the examinations but owing to increased work and family commitments I have decided to leave this course unfinished.

I consider my key personal skill as being able to distil complex projects into easily communicated and understood project strategies and plans. I undertake and control risk management processes. I have broad technical experience which enables me to grasp strategic processes quickly and thus aid the decision making process. I subscribe to the theory that project success is brought about by clear communication and open reporting.

I supplement my planning skills with financial control abilities and resource utilisation skills. I have extensive experience of Earned Value as well a experience in designing systems to control and report cost, budget, financial authority and anticipated final costs. I can produce and maintain project budget and spend reports. I have experience of utilising project evaluation techniques. I can also facilitate scenario-planning workshops and I am familiar with strategic forecasting techniques.

I am looking for a challenging role that will rely on the skills I already possess and demand growth of the skill set ideally in a project management role. I am a confident speaker and communicator. I am client orientated and motivated by successful completion of projects.

I have extensive experience in P3e, P3, Artemis, and MSP. I have experience in designing Project controls architecture that integrates P3e, SAP, and a variety of cost control systems. I have experience in risk analysis with tools such as Pertmaster.
