  • Position:                           Senior planning and project control engineer.
  • Scope of work                  Providing a complete operable facility contains three combined gas-Steam turbines for the production of 1200 Mega Watt of Electrical power by supplying complete “Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Performance testing.”
  • Job duties included but were not limited to:
  • Prepare Project Detailed Baseline Schedule “Engineering, Procurement and Construction” and allocating the resources on the time schedule.
  • Support the Project Manager and Top Management by submitting all reports needs for the decision making from the project time schedule to control the project budget and time in early works.

  • Project Information:                                HAMMA WATER DESALINATION PLANT [Joint Venture between "Algeria Energy Company" and "General Electric"].

The main Contractor was [Joint Venture - "Orascom construction industries Algeria                        "and "BESIX                     "].

                                    Total contract value $ 205 million.

                                       General Electric – IONICSwas a nominated subcontractor in the project.

 

  • Project Location:            HAMMA – Alger – Algeria.
  • Position:                           Senior planning and project control engineer.
  • Scope of work                  Providing a complete operable facility for the production of 200,000 cubic meters per day of Marketable Water, of potable quality, by supplying complete “Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Performance testing.”

 

 

  • Job duties included but were not limited to:
  • Scheduling using Primavera enterprise (P6).
  • Monthly updated schedules.
  • Making an integrated schedule between Engineering, Procurement, Construction schedule and Commissioning schedule.
  • Making crashing and recovery schedules
  • Creating a weighting system to evaluate project progresses at any time during project duration.
  • Project Control Reports “Monthly progress report, weekly and daily report” with progress and performance analysis and recommended corrective actions.

  • Scope of work                  Establishment of a unit rate contract for Ammonia/Urea Fertilizer Complex, including offsite facilities (Plant) at Helwan producing 1,200 tons/day Ammonia. and 1,750 tons/day Urea by complete “Civil works, pre-fabrication, supply and erection of steel structure, mechanical erection including heavy lifting, piping pre-fabrication and erection and painting works.”
  • Job duties included but were not limited to:
  • Scheduling using Primavera Project Planner (P3).
  • Monthly updated schedules.
  • Turning project schedule from P3 to Primavera enterprise (P3 e/c) Ver.4.1.
  • Project Control Reports with progress and performance analysis and recommended corrective actions.
  • Asset management and resource analysis.
  • Preparation of Budget and the forecasting of project requirements of resources.
  • Cost Control Reports, including adjustment for budget, cost analysis and cost forecast.

I have been specially chosen as an active and powerful member of the committee to control and improve the methodology measurement of labor productivity, and to compare it with the budget in order to analyze the actual status, to know the profit-share of labor as a part of cost activity, to improve labor productivity, and also to collect  the labor productivity rates for the current projects, supporting the Estimation Department in calculating the labor cost for upcoming projects and to evaluate the needs of each manpower resource in resource management plan.
