I had 7 years experince in construction mangement, by working in one of the largest construction company (Orascom), I get used to make tender schedules, contract schedules and baseline detailed schedules.

I am responsible for making update to the programme and changing the sequance somehow based on the site obstacles faced, also i am very aware of fedic and contracts issue which it is easier to make claims and get extension of time (if needed).

My civil backgound helps me alot to understand the sequance of work of any job, even the electro-mechanical work as in my company we have one planner only responsible for all trades.

Also the Engineering and procurment phases monitoring, is one of the majour tools to make any project be finished on time, also monitoring the cost of the project within the budget.

As for the resources used in each project (Labours, materials, equipment,...etc) should also be monitored.

Making a progress report or project status is the simplest part of the job

 I would prefere call it project controlling better than project palnning.
