A State-wide Program Office (SPO) and 12 Regional Program Offices (RPO) were established to manage a $5.25B reconstruction program. Key Responsibilities is to oversee the establishment and on-going operation of 3 RPOs, Far North, North West and Central West with a $1.0B budget. ENTHALPY PTY LTD April 2010 – November 2010 ALLIED GOLD LIMITED – SOLOMOM ISLANDS Project Controls Manager Value $200M Allied Gold Limited purchased an abandoned and vandalised gold mine at Gold Ridge in the Solomon Islands. The project was to completely reconstruct and expand the mine from one pit to four. ARCTURUS IPS PTY LTD August 2008 – January 2010 IPSWICH CITY INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT Project Controls Manager Value $550M The project was to construct 4 major pumping stations and associated pipelines as part of the South East Queensland Water Grid. JOHN HOLLAND GROUP January 2008 – August 2008 SYDNEY DESALINATION PLANT Project Controls Manager Value $1B The project was to construction a desalination plant at Kurnell, Sydney. Also responsible for revenue management (progress claims). SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND (GOLD COAST) DESALINATION March 2007 – January 2008 COMPANY PTY LTD Project Controls Manager Value $1.2B The project was to construct a 250ml desalination plant at Tugun Queensland. BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL February 2005 – March 2007 Brisbane Water Senior Project Planner/Project Controls Manager The role was to plan and establish project controls for the Project Branch's annual $130M annual capital works program from engineering through to commissioning. This involves creating and monitoring integrated project schedules for some 780 projects containing 52,000 activities, establish project controls to ensure project delivery is within acceptable quality standards, constant program review and project costs against approved budgets. MTC AustralAsia Pty Ltd August 2004 – February 2005 Performance Management Specialist MTC AustralAsia Pty Ltd is a specialist project management, earned value management, and performance management consulting company providing services to the Australian Defence Force. The role included the creation of milestone schedules, establishment of earned value principles and monitoring project progress using Open Plan Professional, Cobra Financial, and Primavera P3 project management software. I also presented scheduling and earned value workshops to Australian Defence personnel. CENTRELINK January 2003 – January 2004 Senior Project Scheduler Member of the Project Management team charged with delivering the $28 million Employment Services Contract 3 (ESC3) project. This IT project was a collaboration between Centrelink and Department of Employment and Workplace. ACT GOVERNMENT – URBAN SERVICES September 2002 – December 2002 ACT NOWaste Professional Engineer Review development and building applications against statutory requirements for waste and recycling removal for commercial and medium density residential developments. Liaise with Planning and Land Management (PALM) and other ACT Government agencies to ensure compliance. Activities included reviewing proponent’s drawings to ensure grades, turning circles, structures, drainage, and design and siting conforms to ACT NOWaste guidelines. THE ADMINISTRATION OF NORFOLK ISLAND January 2002 – September 2002 Executive Director, Environment & Infrastructure The position was an integral part of the Corporate Management Group, which set Public Service policy for the Norfolk Island Government. Internal contacts with staff were extensive, along with daily contact with Ministers with relevant portfolio responsibilities ie Ministers for Finance, Land and the Environment, Health, and Commerce. Analyze the local market to determine the most appropriate design solution to achieve the highest rate of return on investment ie ensure a profit is returned to the organization. Established project control systems based on Primavera software. Engage consultants and manage the construction process through either project homebuilders or consultant project managers. Prepare feasibility studies and approve funding for construction projects managed by the regional offices.
