Run & monitor the projects control system for a program of various sized On/Offshore Oil & Gas Projects respecting the shareholders targets & the company rules & procedures, the job responsibilities were mainly the following:

  • Setup the overall annual projects CAPEX budget, baseline schedules, cost phasing, earned value management system (EVMS) & setup the (5 & 10 years) cost estimates.
  • Setup & manage projects control system for various types of contracts (EPC, Lump sum, Unit Rate, Reimbursable, BOT…etc), track the activities progress (VOWD), update the projects schedules & control sheets to control the projects services contracts & purchase orders, estimate the (ETC, EAC), analyze projects performance (CV, SV, VAC, SPI, CPI and TCPI) & define probable risks.
  • Review & analyze the overall costs & accruals, invoices approval and release SAP service tickets.
  • Create & manage an integrated projects control system, train the staff to use it, add the ad-hoc reports and perform periodical maintenance & features upgrading.

 

Budget and baseline schedule setup, long term plans, cost phasing, schedule update, progress tracking and cost control, progress & cost variance analysis and forecast, project monthly progress update report, projects overall monthly cost report, weekly progress report, overall annual report & annual general assembly. Establish & manage effectively a cost control system in order to support the Project Manager'sdecision-making process & allow completing the project within the approved Budget, ensure anydeviation from plan is promptly spotted and analyzed, final impact is estimated and the effect ofcorrective actions taken is monitored, create a cost awareness atmosphere among all projectparticipants and satisfy the Client & Corporate reporting requirements (Budget/Forecasts/Accruals).The tasks mainly include:
  • Ensure, during initial phase after contract award, the implementation of the Cost Control System, the effective application during the execution phase & cost status is soundly assessed & reported.
  • Keep the cost/revenues forecast updated, to allow updating the intercompany service agreements.
  • Contribute in Contract changes/claims process by providing the cost impact analysis.
  • Monitor, for subcontracts and other significant items, progress and the value of work done against the invoices received, determining the monthly accruals.
  • Revise the Control Budget (revenues & costs) with all agreed Changes & internal transfers.
  • Prepare the Project Status Report, attend the internal coordination meetings and cooperate preparing the Project Close-out Report and the cost feed-back data.
  • Review the monthly forecasts to complete, highlight any deviation from budget & the effect of the corrective actions taken by PM and review with the Risks Engineer the risks/opportunities status.
  • Issue the Monthly Cost Report (consolidated) inclusive of details and written comprehensive analysis of performance, trends, deviations and assumptions.
