I now have over thirty years experience as a planning engineer of some form or other. These include Senior, Lead. Discipline, Area, Offshore, Design Office, Construction, Site, Home Office, Tender, Project, Resource, Client and Only Planning Engineer.

My experience ranges from completely computerised, interlinked systems and procedures, to manual hand drawn networks, barcharts, curves, etc., with manual forward and backward passes and calculations.

For the majority of my career I have worked on petrochemical projects, such as, offshore platforms (oil and gas), refineries, chemical plants, drilling rigs, etc., but other industries experienced include nuclear power, gas power, wind power, subsea cabling, pharmaceutical, food processing, aluminium recycling, aluminium ore smelters, high tech ‘clean room’ factories, heavy mat’l handling, fire and gas systems, brewing and water treatment.

The companies that have used my services range from large multinational companies, to small, family run, supply companies.

My varied experience has also given me the opportunity to be involved in setting up or modifying systems and procedures for planning, progress monitoring and all aspects of project control.

Another benefit of my varied experience , is I have a flexible approach to planning , and can adapt to suit any particular requirements of the project, company, project manager, client, department, software or personalities.
