As a Cost Control Engineer.
vDevelop a project tracking system either based on existing tools or self developed that allows for project portfolio management including cost tracking of all projects against a fixed annual budget, prioritization of project portfolio, tracking of deferred .
vMaintain and communicate projects budgetary and completion status’ through all phases
vReport monthly project costs and identify critical issues.
vProvide project scheduling, cost control, and other project support functions and activities, as instructed by management.
vCreate, maintain, update, and analyze project and schedules and budgets.
vForecast costs at completion, management of change, cost estimating, and issuing reports to the Project Team and Management, as required.
vResponsible for setting up the control systems for the projects to record, maintain and report original and current schedules, budgets, pending/approved/rejected changes and budget transfers, actual expended, estimate-to-complete, estimate-at-completion amounts, and their variances against control budgets, and work progress and productivity values.
vTrack and incorporate out of scope work activities, securing management approval, assisting in the review of invoices, and maintaining change order logs.
