JOB DESCRIPTION
· Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
· Prepare Project quality & execution plans at the start of project.
· Conduct kick-off meetings & interactive planning session.
· Front end engineer design validation prior to detail design work.
· Review project key drawings like P&ID’s and overall plot plan.
· Request technical information from client and ensures its timely flow from client.
· Manages Interdisciplinary interfaces & information flow for smooth execution of project.
· Ensures design team is aware of, and complying with client's Basis of Design, standards & codes.
· Identify long lead items & Equipment at early stage of project.
· Assesses procurement process through the project to ensure goods meet specification and are delivered
· on time and within budget.
· Identifies trends with lead engineers, takes action to avoid cost overruns & raise change orders.
· Supervises work in accordance with the approved schedule using MS Project / Primavera.
· Use S-curves to monitor and control project progress.
· Prepare, monitor & control manpower loading plan.
· Prepare weekly and monthly reports, progress monitoring and updates.
· Monitor & control document control index as per project scope.
· Monitor any deviation from the agreed original scope and contract.
· Effectively manages assigned budgets within project total scope.
· Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecasts final costs.
· Ensure timely delivery of project documents to client per agreed milestones.
· Monitors closure of all identified risks & opportunities.
