Nabucco Gas Pipeline Project – Owner’s Engineer

Nabucco is the new gas bridge from Asia to Europe and the flagship project in the Southern Corridor. It will be a pipeline to connect the world’s richest gas regions - the Caspian region and Middle East - to the European consumer markets. Project Estimated Value is 12 Billion US$

Scope of work:

• As NABUCCO Lead Project Controls Engineer ensure timeliness and accuracy of: progress and performance/ productivity evaluation for the execution of the WPAD scope of work, change management and reporting to management.
• Ensure priority management to match the following order of precedence: In CONTROL application management (CBS/WBS and CTR and TIMETRAX interface), preparation and update of all level schedules to meet both WPAD and client requirements; and reporting.
• As co-owner of the change management process on NABUCCO provide prime assistance to PM and PC Manager in the preparation, justification and negotiations of Variations Order from WPAD to NIC and assistance in validating certifying LFE’s Requests for Variation.
• Promote actively and supportively the implementation of any changes/adaptation/new application identified by company regarding its project Control and planning and scheduling and resources management systems and procedures.
• As  NABUCCO  Project Controls Engineer assist PM and PC Manager in efficiently monitoring and analysing and reporting LFE’s deliverables production and issuance planned schedule (dates) and progress (%) versus actual progress Forecast to complete and variance identification and analysis.

Scope of work:

• Preparing Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports.
• Maintaining and Updating Engineering, Procurement and Construction Primavera Schedules, Highlighting critical or near-critical paths which will or may affect target commissioning dates.
• Assessing vendors & sub-contractors submitted schedules, discussing possible mitigation plans with management.
• Maintaining Deliverables schedule and submitting weekly updates to Client.
• Preparing Monthly Invoices and Internal Project Cost Reports.
• Discussing Forecasted Man-hours to complete with Engineering Leads in relation to progress.
• Preparing and submitting trends and Variations, attending discussions with Client.
• Preparing all sorts of progress reports (S-curves, Histograms, and Forecast Man-hours)
