April, 1982 David's first employment as a planning engineer was as part of his industrial placement in 1977 then subsequently he began his career proper as a planning engineer in 1978 with Sindall Construction both head-office based pre-tender and contract planning for a number of projects and site-based leading planning teams on major hospital projects.
