April, 2000 Bluebird Foods sponsored the thesis component of John's Master of Engineering degree through the commissioning of a feasibility study on outsourcing of non-performing production lines. Following the completion of his research he conducted several other projects on the optimization of production line efficiencies on a freelance basis.
