I am an enthusiastic, self motivated Planning Engineer, working within the Oil & Gas and the Fabrication / Construction industry for over 21 years (of which the last 14 years have been as a Planning Engineer). In this time I have worked on LNG Tank / Terminal projects, Gas Compressor Station Expansion projects, Gas Pipeline / Diversion projects, Shutdowns, Ambient Tank projects, general Construction / Fabrication projects and Design only projects.
I have gained experience in all aspects of Planning / Projects Controls over multi disciplines, for both Contractors and the Client on EPC projects. I have produced both tender and project schedules using various planning software (Primavera P3, Primavera P5 / P6 (P3e), Suretrak & Microsoft Project), run schedule risk analysis using Monte Carlo for P3, run commercial risk analysis using @Risk and monitored costs in Excel. Recently I have attained an ECITB Level 3 NVQ in Project Controls (Planning modules).
As a Planning Engineer I have been responsible for; Network development (including estimating), updating critical path analysed networks, setting up logical / resourced networks, producing look ahead programmes, formulating resource histograms / s-curves, producing progress reports, earned value / productivity reports, deliverables tracking, progress monitoring (including setup of progress systems), purchase order tracking, attending progress meetings, auditing main works contractor programmes, claims / variation order analysis, commercial risk analysis (workshops & reporting), planning departmental costs / budget monitoring, work pack production, schedule risk analysis and cost monitoring.
