I have been working in Construction Management on New York City projects for the last 30 years, and before that worked for 6 years building Oil Refineries and Chemcial Plants as a Journeyman Steamtfitter. The first 20 years of my CM work was in Buildings- Higher Education and Healthcare- with the last of those specializing in Project Controls systems. The last 10 years I have been working in Industrial projects- Water Treatment and Transit-, with 6 months working in Montreal, Canada doing a Mining Project. For the last 15 years I have focused on managing Project Controls, Cost and Schedule. I have used Primavera P3 and Suretrak since 1989 and P3e through P6 v.7 since 2000, along with Expedition since 1992. Along the way I have also used MS Project and Prolog/Proliance systems. Although I have held positions as Senior Scheduler and my Project Controls work has focused at times on Scheduling, I see myself a more of a Cost Engineer. For 4 years on the World Trade Center I was responsible for the budgeting, estimation, and cost control on $3.4 billion of federal funds, and for 3 years on the East Side Access transit project performed those on a $10.9B program.
