I am putting together a presentation the benefits of planning and specifically want to include some supporting metrics. Does anyone know of any previously published papers which may include this information?
To add clarity to my requirement, I would anticipate that the metrics may for example quantify;
• Projects utilising a mature planning approach are ’X % more successful e.g. experience ’X%’ less overrun and/ or are consistently ’X%’ within budget
• Organisations that consistently use planning as part of their project management approach are ’X’ % more successful e.g. experience ’X’ % less overrun, ’’X’ % within budget
• GBP spent on planning will provide GBP value benefits
• etc
I would appreciate any help that you can provide, as I have searched the web for this info and have found nothing!
