Resources Loading

Dear Expers planners,
It is very time consuming job to allocated the Resources (Manpoer,Equipment & Material & Cost ) to each activity for the project having 4000 & more activity.

Can any one high light how to minimised this work by any Skill Excel ,Export/Import or any other ways.
Your guidance really save the planner frustation on resources loading.
