construction Gantt chart

I have been tasked with creating a construction gantt chart for a subdivision we are building. As a computer person I don’t know much on the construction side. Is there a good example of tasks to start with (i.e roadways beign built and what that constitues - clearing, grading, utilities etc. as well as subdivision lots etc etc.). I would like to have something laid out prior to going to my boss and asking for his input in the construction scheduling. I am usinng Microsoft project 2003.
