Perhaps what Im hoping for is not possible in MS Project, but I thought Id check with you guys and gather your thoughts here. Thanks in anticipation.
Supposing I have a High Priority task which Ive estimated to take 3 days and a Medium Priority task which Ive estimated to take 1 day.
If I was to use the Resource Levelling feature - I would get High Priority Task scheduled for the 1st 3 days (e.g. Jan 1 to Jan 3) an Medium Priority Task to start after that (Jan 4).
So far so good. But if I was to finish the High Priority Task after 1 day (Jan 1), and I marked it as 100% complete, and I did another Resource Leveling, I would have expected the Medium Priority Task to now be scheduled to Jan 2 - as the High Priority Task is now complete - but its still scheduled to Jan 4. Do I have to go and manually change the task allocation for my completed High priority task?
What do I have to do so that I can work out what tasks I should be working on for a given day. Any suggestions, pointers, appreciated.
