Guild Developments

The 'join page' will be updated next week to explain further the philosophy behind the tests or as some of us prefer - exams! - the information will be sufficient for all to see which Guild level equates to each personal situation.

The subject matter taxonomy for the Standards of Practice across Planning & Scheduling, Cost Management and Forensic Analysis will be available by month end. 

The detailed process flow charts; example for Foundation (Black Belt), will be available by month end for all Guild levels.

• Foundation (Yellow Belt) - test questions have been prepared and proposed by the Consulting Team and have been reviewed by the Team Of Experts (volunteer practitoners, incumbent Fellows and the Corporate Sponsors).  The Consulting Team are taking on-board these comments and the formal Questions and Answers are expected to be revised next week ready to be loading onto the Test System*

• Proficient (Green Belt) - test questions have been prepared by the Consulting Team and will be reviewed by the Team Of Experts once the formal Questions and Answers for Foundation level have been reviewed.

• Advanced (Orange Belt) - work is progressing well and a small number of test questions have been drafted.

• Expert (Red Belt) - this has been started but focus is on Advanced Level for the time being.

• Fellow (Black Belt) - as with all initiatives especially one as far-reaching as The Guild we cannot hope to please everybody - we can only try! There has been some criticism of the diligence required for Fellow status.  We make no apologies for this - Fellow (Black Belt) is indisputably at the top of our Project Controls profession and as such reflects, like no other, the standards required to be at the summit of our chosen specialisations for others to aspire to; it simply requires an experience profile, a 360 degree reference from colleagues, examples of current work for the Guild Library and an interview.  We seek further Fellow Applicants - if you consider yourself to be at the top of the tree JOIN US!
