Dear Planning Planet Members,

The Guild is gathering momentum and we hope you are as excited about that as we are; together we will ensure Project Controls is more valued and becomes an ever improving career for all levels of competence.  In this Guild Update we wish to inform you of the following Guild News:

(1) FELLOW APPLICATIONS - Current Status

The Guild is working their way through Fellow status applications that are global in nature and in the main of the quality envisaged. Within days all applicants will have been notified of the next steps and The Guild thanks those that applied.

Please be reminded that the window for 'Founder Status' Fellows will shortly close so if you are considering applying and feel confident that you will reach and even surpass the joining criteria (all described on The Guild area in Planning Planet) we would still like to hear from you.

(2) GUILD INTEREST GROUP - Scotland

The Guild wishes to announce a Guild Interest Group in Scotland run and co-ordinated by Mark Gillespie our contact at SSE - A Guild Sponsor.

In this initial phase, we are looking for attendees that can either authorise or perhaps influence Corporate involvement.

The event will take place in the Glasgow area and have a duration of approximately two hours, with the date and time to depend on input from interested parties - early evening would seem a favourite - we currently have venue options in mind although a Guild Sponsors' offices would be ideal.

A guide agenda is as follows:

1. Welcome and introduction from PP
2. Guild Overview
3. Objectives for Scotland
4. Outline plan and discussion for the first national meeting

(3) NEXT GUILD WINDOW WILL BE OPEN FOR FOUNDATION OR YELLOW BELT STATUS

Following completion of our 'FOUNDER FELLOWS' The Guild will be open for those starting a career in Project Controls. Expectancies of competence are fully described on Planning Planet and we are working hard to complete not only the tests but also the medium by which individuals will be examined.

There will be much more news on 'FOUNDATION LEVEL' in the coming weeks.
