Safran launched an update version of its flagship Safran Project 5 in October 2013 with new functionality including integrated Schedule Risk Analysis. With the release of Planner 5 and the upcoming update to Safran Web Access, they continue to deliver improvements and value to their customers and the project planning and project control community. Safran plans several new product launches throughout 2014 and 2015. Further details on these plans and initiatives will be released throughout the year. Safran strengthens its R&D team... At the same time Safran is pleased to announce an important strengthening of its R&D team. Glenn Jarrad: Safran has employed Glenn Jarrad as Senior Software Developer / System Specialist. Glenn joins Safran from Oracle where he was employed as a Senior Principal Software Engineer working for 5 years on the Primavera Software Suite. Previously, Glenn was Technical Director and core developer for the Pertmaster software, a highly-respected risk management tool for project and portfolio management. Glenn Jarrad says on joining Safran: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated team of Project Management software professionals and am excited by the prospects of what we can achieve together.” Vishnupriya Kalyanasundaram: Safran has also employed Vishnupriya Kalyanasundaram. She holds a Master degree in Information Technology and has long experience in the software industry. Vishnu joins from Tieto where she worked as a software developer on Energy Components, the leading hydrocarbon accounting (HCA) system for the global oil and gas industry. Glenn and Vishnu will be central in the new Safran development strategy and in the company´s R&D team. "I am delighted to welcome Glenn and Vishnu in the Safran R&D team", says Per Arne Jensen, Chairman of the Board at Safran. "Their experience in developing functionally rich while easy to use software, and their knowledge within GUI and reporting for the project management space, will be core to the future direction of the Safran software suite."
