OVERVIEW

The Guild of Project Controls (GPC) relationship with you our Endorsed Training Provider (ETP) would be based on the following commitments from both parties:

• ETP invests GBP< negotiable fee > per annum for status of Guild ETP
• GPC will set in motion advertising and listing of the ETP on Planning Planet (PP) we will also give you access to our twice - monthly Newsletter which is sent to our global community
• GPC provides a comprehensive syllabus for the ETP to shape their courses
• GPC enables free access to experts to help the ETP shape their courses, if required, or access to these experts for an evaluation of a completed course
• GPC provides ETP with a Practitioner Strengths & Weakness Appraisal System which ETP can use and sell to their clients if they wish to offer a measurable means to demonstrate the need for training - earn money from consultancy! 
• ETP can deliver any number of courses it wishes to e.g. ETP may only wish to concentrate on Planning and Scheduling at beginner (Preparatory) level
• ETP sets the training fee it sees suitable. GPC only mandates that a Guild Membership subscription for one year (GBP100) is included in course fees and candidates apply for Guild membership through GPC website
• ETP can offer discounted GPC Certification fee tor candidates to become Certified.by taking the relevant Guild Test for Certification
• ETP owns all their developed Courseware
• ETP keeps ALL course generated revenue apart from Guild Membership fee

THE COURSES – an ETP can deliver training courses in regard to one or more of the following four LEVELS and LEARNING OBJECTIVES described below:

• PROFESSIONAL Level - the ability to REMEMBER and UNDERSTAND relevant facts, concepts, procedures
• SPECIALIST Level - the ability to APPLY and ANALYZE relevant facts, concepts, procedures
• MASTER Level - the ability to ANALYZE, EVALUATE & CREATE relevant facts, concepts, procedures
• EXPERT Level - the ability as a SUPERVISOR or MANAGER while ANALYZING, EVALUATING the work of others

THE SUBJECTS - each course, for each of the above levels, can be offered in one or more of the following subjects:

This module content is made available to ETP trainees prior to them attending a training course.  The ETP will develop and own their own course materials and refer to the modules relevant to the training being delivered.  ETP's can deliver training via on-line, remote, video conference delivery and / or by traditional classroom methods.  

The modules and thus also the course content are simply a collation of best tested and proven practices and contain nothing new, or bespoke so an experienced practitioner would already understand the content and would be / should be able to develop and deliver the course content with ease.

THE COURSE SYLLABUS - and learning objectives (for trainers) and capability expectations (for practitioners) in relation to each of the knowledge modules are documented as ROLE DESCRIPTORS and are made available to ETP’s and GPC Members via http://www.planningplanet.com/guild/role-descriptors

A sample of such Role Descriptors (for Module 01-Project Controls at the Professional Level) is shown below and therefore defines expected training outcomes and specifies the expected course content:

• Be able to explain the difference between Strategies and Tactics
• Be able to define what a stakeholder is, what types of stakeholders there are and how we can identify their needs
• Be able to describe the relationship between Project Life Span and Project Controls Life Span
• Be able to explain what elements should be included in a Decision Support Package (DSP)

THE ETP FINANCIALS - are such that the ETP can set their own course fees, bill their own clients, collect their own fees and keep the revenue for themselves.

The Guild asks that the ETP suggest GPC Competency Certification to all of its trainees.
