“A great debate – value of implementing an earned value system” by Pradip Mehta

Abstract: This presentation examines use and abuses of an earned value system. It also address a few streamlined approaches to get the most out of implementing earned value on both small as well as large projects. It also examines different elements that play an important role in determining how effective earned value will be for you in your particular application, and includes two case studies to expose some of the dangers and pitfalls of the "strict" interpretation of variance data related to earned value.
