Senior Planning Engineer, Oil and Gas Projects 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Develops project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for large size projects, integrating all project objectives, major milestones and customer / contract requirements.

·         Preparingdifferent levels of schedules in accordance with project Work Breakdown Structure in compliance with client and contract requirements.

·         Establishes progress reporting requirements in accordance ·with relevant work instructions and project requirements including the definition of software applications on the project.

·         Prepares periodical reports and present data to Top Management in review meetings.

·         Monitoring project progress, milestones, analyzing causes of deviation from schedules, proposing alternative courses of action needed to overcome the delays.

·         Study and assessment of target dates for the project to be completely familiar with the work and the parameters of the work program.  Ensuring that all programmed activities have man-hour contents in line with Company Procedures.

·         Review of existing material and equipment schedules and obtain updated delivery information from the relevant departments.

·         Assisting the Site Manager and the Construction Superintendent in the preparation of the construction plan.

·         Attend progress review meetings and report for the project situation, noting all changes for the forward plans.

·         Recording additional work to the original requirements, variations and revisions which shall be incorporated in the site plan and informing the appropriate staff and subcontractors of any changes to their workload and any alterations to the targets previously set.

·         Collating work progress for each contract / area and include them in the regular Site Reports, in addition to reviewing agreements with Subcontractors to ensure compatibility with project requirements.

·         Monitoring of site progress and preparation of weekly ‘look-ahead’ to maintain objectives and agreed milestones.

·         Preparing, follow up and control tie-ins, shutdown and commissioning plans.

·         Supervise and direct project planning team members to ensure that the work performed according to the acceptable level of quality according to contractual requirements.

·         Ensures the full implementation of the Company manuals, procedures, and departmental work instructions, in accordance with the requirements of the Company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management systems.

·         Dealing with EPC projects planning techniques and procedures used by international firms.

·         Proposals planning practices, involving the project control techniques for integrated engineering, procurement and construction projects.
