Site based Planning engineer carrying out planning and scheduling of an inspection project carried out on live plant.  Project to carry out initial corrosion under insulation inspections on pipework and equipment. Subsequent planning of any remedial or corrective actions where they can be done on-line.

Role includes the need to extract scheduled inspections for forthcoming year from the inspection database, plan and resource work in GSAP, export work into P3e for scheduling and resource levelling. The programme requires full involvement with the existing maintenace departments across the whole site , sharing information and resources with Shell Maintenance planners and liaising with Operations to enable work to be carried out. Weekly meetings with  contractors to identify which work to carry out and for setting of prioroities. Supervision of 3 Shell field co-ordinators.

Raising work orders, purchasing, requisitioning of materials, paying invoices using client GSAP system.

Providing management information on required resource numbers, providing information and reports on potential overdue inspections, monitoring progress and productivity during execution.

Publishing reports to the Shell server to allow visibility of the project, liaising with different departments to explain work to be carried out.

Support to Shell planners on P3e and scheduling activities.
