Duties as Sr. Planning Engineer :

- Establishing, monitoring and updating the overall project planning.

- Assisting the Project Manager in maintaining the project baseline programme and/or  target programme.

 - Formulating a work breakdown structure that is logical with the project execution strategy, establishing activity weightings that enable a representative measure of the project progress to be determined.

 -Formulating high level (summary) and detailed schedules (levels 2 & 3 & 4) including Client and Subcontractors input that enable the Project Manager, Client and Top Management to ascertain project status at any point in time.

- Being responsible for making visible the various schedule requirements so that the project supervision (Engineering leads, Buyers and Construction supervisors) is made aware of their responsibilities for deliverables and that schedule ownership is achieved.

- Producing regular reports such as progress figures, S-curves, Look-Aheads,  KPIs, etc.  to permit the project to be well managed and which highlight areas of concern so as to enable the Project Manager to take timely action.

- Co-ordinating and editing the regular project report to the Client in-line with the contractual requirements.

- As necessary producing detailed planning for increased scope visibility e.g. detailed deliverable schedules.

- Reviewing, as directed, sub-contractors’ schedules, loading and capacity charts to determine feasibility and conformity with the approved baseline programme..

- Pursuing, monitoring and recording progress for engineering, procurement construction, and possibly commissioning, in each area of project activity.

- Producing necessary input and documents for weekly and monthly progress reports, and help the project Manager and the Construction Manager to plan the resources.

- Maintenance of production rates for equipment and labor for all trades Prepare feedback for all production rates of all tasks at the post construction stage.
