Under direct supervision of Country Director / Chief Technical Advisor of Programs; I was responsible for assisting UNOPS in the Programme planning, Programs budgets preparation and Financial Management & Controls set up for the projects across the Afghanistan.

Budgets & Programme Planning

• Programme Management with relation of budget, milestones/targets achieved and comparison with Plan Vs Actual expenditures. • Participate in meetings with donors on EOT claims and budgetary issues. Contracts Management, Cost plans and prepares budget performance reports.

• Verification/recommendations of interim payment certificates.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Meeting the reporting requirements of donors – (USAID, WORLD BANK & UNDP)

• Fortnightly review of progress of projects with Regional Engineers for ensuring timely completion of projects within the scheduled time and cost parameters.

• Progress reporting to the management and end user clients / Donors like World Bank, USAID and UNDP.

• Staff Resource Planning (International & Local Staff)

• Financial monitoring of projects and monitoring of Contractors payments.

• Monthly & Quarterly budget forecast & financial controlling of projects by earned value report analysis.

• Lead a staff who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, forecast and report schedule status. Accomplishments: Successfully implemented the SOP from Planning, Budgeting and Reporting functions. Submitted and got approved yearly progress reports from Clients / Donors.
