British Energy / Morson International Senior Planner
START Date:
May, 2008 Following the successful period as a contract partner outage planner, I joined the station outage planning team and took on the role of Refuelling & Radwaste project planner, replacing an experienced senior planner who had planned the refuelling scope for the previous nine outages. The role involves planning (using Primavera P6 software) throughout an 18 month cycle, culminating with the high intensity refuelling outage period. The position involves taking full ownership of the project scope (approximately 2500 activities) to develop a structured network, then planning the project scope into the work windows by system and then by plant isolation. The refuelling scope is one of the key areas of the outage plan and includes a high percentage of work on or near the critical path. Following the most recent refuelling outage, I received commendation during the subsequent final outage review meeting with the refuelling project manager citing “excellent planning support from outage planning” as a highlight of the outage execution phase.
