October, 2008 Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management of LRCCU plant modification and extension project, including:
-Piping Modification
-Heat exchanger, column, vessel, Tankage, reactor and regenerator , air fin cooler, separating equipment ,pump, compressor and blower equipment modification and new installation
-CO Boiler revamp and restoration included tube banks, Superheater, Ecomoniser, Soot blowers, Deslaggers, FD Blower, CO ducts) feed water drum, de-superheater, economizers)
1) Set up Work Break Down Structure for progress measurement and scheduling.
2) Interpret P&ID drawing, GA (piping, equipment, structure) drawing to understand scope of work and sequence for schedule development.
3) Liaise with integrated engineering departments and project engineering team in schedule development and updating process.
4) Prepare engineering, procurement and construction level-3 schedule based on DMS data, the scope of work, work volume, work flow and procedures, delivery information and constructability study.
5) Define and review construction work packages with client before subcontracting.
6) Reviews and approves in consultation with the section manager, the subontractor’s proposed project schedule (using Primavera version 3.0 & 5.0 and Microsoft Project) and negotiates with the contractor in the development of a detailed schedule that meets the contract requirements. Reviews Subcontractor’s Schedules to assess credibility, and alignment with EPC schedules. Verifies the adequacy of subcontractor’s proposed Project Work Time Schedule and potential impact.Monitors and analyses the Work Time Schedule and raise the concerns, if any in the meetings.
7) Reviews monthly reports produced by the subcontractor, analyses and assesses schedule progress, delaying factors, slippages, areas of concern. Identifies critical activities, floats, slipped activities to ensure they are reflected correctly by the contractor in the reports and investigates reasons for slippage.
8) Prepares weekly and monthly reports on behalf of the project management team, liaising with all parties to ensure that all inputs are taken into consideration.
9) Provides support to the Contracts department in defending against subcontractor’s claims and variations requests.
10) Participates in all meetings with the respective sub contractors where construction planning and progress reporting issues are part of the meeting content.
