May, 2003 Hyundai was the main contractor for the engineering and construction of the Four Seasons Hotel, a 30+ storey building in Cairo built on an area of 7500 sq.m. I joined the company as a planning and control engineer, member of a planning team responsible for the detailed scheduling and the progress monitoring & reporting. After a year and a half with the company, I was given the responsibility to prepare the Monthly Progress Invoice to the Client. I participated as a team member in the calculation and analysis of the time impact due to variations and claims.
• Member of planning team preparing the Master and Detailed schedules.
• Prepare the monthly, weekly, and daily progress reports to the PM.
• Prepare the Monthly Progress Invoice to the Client including necessary breakdowns.
• Prepare the Eng. & Proc. schedules and incorporating into the Master Schedule.
• Calculate and analyze the time impact due to variations and claims.
• Monitor and update the Cash Flow projection.
• Reply to PM’s letters addressing the schedule & progress.
• Attend weekly progress meetings with the Client and the PM.
• Prepare the M.O.M. for the internal progress review meeting.
• Prepare monthly presentations for the Board Meeting between Owner & Contractor.
• Prepare the FF&E Operation Plan.
• Member of planning team preparing the Master and Detailed schedules.
