Planning Engineer – Nuclear - Gloucestershire
Planning Engineer is currently required by an engineering company that specialise in projects within the nuclear energy sector to join their team based in Gloucestershire. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for coordination of interactions with statutory bodies of two local nuclear sites.
Job
- To support on the delivery of cost effective solutions for specific projects.
- To support the position of Planning & Consents Team as a focus for technical expertise in the area of Planning Liaison and Regulator Engagement.
- To ensure that supporting technical experts provide the appropriate input for our contracted deliverables.
- The role also acts as a focus for planning performance in the context of any local authority agreements
- To assist in the analysis of Planning Policy
Candidate
- Degree or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in a post with similar technical demands.
- Significant relevant experience of working in a project environment preferably on large power plant or large infrastructure projects
- Good communication skills and the ability to interpret and explain technical issues
- Ability to produce sound technical reports
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to address the project management issues
- Experience of current software tools – Primavera P6
- An enthusiastic team player with the ability to operate in an environment which is developing and can deliver with limited supervision
- A flexible approach and willingness to support the project team in whatever is required to meet objectives.
