Senior Planning Manager – Queensland
Senior Planning Manager is currently required by a leading main contractor in Australia to lead a team of Planning Engineers on a mega new build and construction project based in Queensland. The Senior Planning Manager will work closely with the Project Director and the Project Management Team in the delivery of this large scale and complex project.
The Senior Planning Manager will be responsible for integrating discipline schedules into overall project schedule, report and validating progress against schedule, provide information/documentation that enables the Project Management Team to fully control progress, completion dates, and deliverables for all activities. This will encompass overall strategic, scheduling and reporting throughout the Design, Procurement, Construction and Completion stages.
To be considered for this opportunity candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
· Circa 10 years experience in a similar role with similar accountabilities.
· Experience in the delivery of large scale construction projects valued at £100m plus.
· Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 planning software.
· Familiar with Schedule risk analysis practices and the associated software.
· Have sufficient knowledge and background to identify potential planning/scheduling issues / mitigation measures and have the skills to prepare succinct analysis for management information.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to create/update planning/scheduling & reporting methods and procedures to reflect the latest project execution philosophies.
· Demonstrated abilities to analyse projects, identify options and recommend solutions to deviations / problems
