Planning Engineer – Cumbria - £48k plus package including subsistence allowance.
My client is a leading international main contractor and due increasing workloads they are now seeking a Planning Engineer to be site based in Cumbria. The successful candidate will join their civil engineering division and be a part of a team that are responsible for the delivery of a £500m Nuclear Construction project which is due for completion in 2018. On offer is an attractive basic salary of up to £48,000 plus a benefits package comprising of car or car allowance, pension, healthcare and subsistence allowance for those working away from home.
The Planning Engineer will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of site based planning on UK civil engineering projects. Experience within a nuclear environment is desirable but not essential. The Planning Engineer will report directly into the Project Director and they will work alongside the site team responsible for the successful delivery of this major project.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity:
- Civil Engineering degree of equivalent.
- Circa 3-5 years planning experience.
- Experience within a main contractor environment.
- Site based planning experience on a civil engineering projects.
- Good knowledge of planning software packages.
- Strong communication skills.
