so basically i am using fixed duratin and effort driven is off. the option Updating task status updates resource status is off.
i don't want ms project to change the work value if i change the duration, and i don't want ms project to change the actual work too and the remaining, everything should be independant ?

Rafael,
you can't do it in MSP directly (you need Spider for this). For MSP duration would be driven by average productivity of 2 resources.

Evgeny,
If resource A installs 100 bricks in one hour and resource B installs 50 do work and effort is the same for each resource?
How do you plan within MSP for different resources working at the same time on the same activity same work hours but each with different productivity?

Rafael

mimoune,
I am a bit confused. You write:
<<
...something like fixed duration & units in P6...
..i don't want ms project to change the amount of works too,..
>>
I am not familiar with P6, but effectively you want Work, Units and Duration to be fixed. Is it correct?

mimoune,
not sure 100% that this is what you need, but the straight answer is that you need to use fixed duration task
