Lets Get Rid of This Guy

Hi Guys,

With almost 10 million hits and 10 thousand members I am sure we will be fighting the sponsors off soon. However, to date, no luck or feedback on this front apart from several requests to purchase (and I assume wreck) our site.

then are we almost getting into asking for a valid email address when signing up - the new guy then has to receive an email from PP and must validate or confirm his account before being allowed to post ?

James, any closer on getting sponsorship for the site - you should reap some reward for your increasing workload (over and above our grateful thanks !)

I occurs to me that all you really need to do is to change Name Deleted’s password to a really hard random sequence. Then he can’t log in under that name, nor can he create the same name again.

Ronald,

I have delved around in the "back-end" and run a global change, which is even more scary than the P3 global changes!

All of the posts have been removed. I will see if the account can be deleted too.

Hope this helps.

Ronald,

Calm down mate or you may blow a gasket!! I will try to tweak the script tonight. I guess we should also stop people from being able to edit their posts once a new post has been made - this will prevent some twits from going back in and removing their posts etc when they get annoyed.

This PPer has posts, contacts and other records all of the server, so if his record is removed all sorts of things will crash, so it is not as easy that it may at first appear.

We should also prevent a post being made if the message box is empty.

You also need the move-message-to-another-forum function.

Your point is taken and it will get sorted.
